Provide the highest quality care and education in a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for school age children using knowledge and core competencies that align with Learning Grove standards.
Reports to:
School Age Services Supervisor Direct Reports:
School Age Services Assistant Instructors, Partners and Volunteers (in absence of SAS Supervisor) Primary Responsibilities and Tasks:
Leadership and Direct Service Lead day to day operations of school age programming.
KY Sites:
Purchase healthy snacks weekly based on the snack menu.
KY Sites:
Responsible for monthly licensing compliance - first aid, emergency drills and posting schedule and menus.
Create and maintain safe and healthy learning environments for children with appropriate arrangement of materials, space, and supplies.
Supervise children at all times; within sight and sound and adhere to daily schedule and transition times.
Encourage children's learning through discovery, curiosity, creativity and a healthy self-concept.
Understands and implements lesson plans that incorporate the Kentucky and /or Ohio Early Learning Standards.
Grant Funded Sites:
Participate in the planning and development of project-based curriculum in alignment with enrichment providers.
Complete tasks assigned in a timely manner to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
Utilize best practices and positive discipline techniques with children, to support children's growth and understanding of self and others and promote resilience.
Model Learning Grove's Vision, Mission and Philosophy.
Quality and Compliance Complete and maintain paperwork in a timely manner.
Apply and transfer into practice content acquired during training.
Responsible for obtaining required training hours and maintaining educational credentials.
Participate in conducting assessments as assigned.
Demonstrate knowledge of and agreement to abide by state licensing mandates and SUTQ/STARS.
Report for assigned work hours on time and prepared for assigned responsibilities.
Relate to all families, staff, and community partners in a positive manner.
Internal and External Collaboration Provide timely and effective communication leadership, school partners, families, and enrichment providers.
Maintain confidential information about the program, families, children, staff and the agency, at all times.
Demonstrate professionalism, principles of teamwork and have a positive attitude in the workplace and in the community.

Maintain positive relationships with children, families and co-workers.

Other duties as assigned Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements:
Ability to read, speak, and write English Must be age 18 or older Some post-secondary education preferred Prior experience working with young children commensurate to responsibilities Physical demands:
Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds, bend and move about easily Must be able to walk up and down steps.
Standing on feet and working with children 90% of the time.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
