Paid Internship - Philanthropy Intern Fall 2023

POSITION SUMMARYThe Cincinnati Art Museum has an opening for a part-time, paid fall 2023 intern to work with the Philanthropy department on the internal events team.
The Philanthropy Events Intern will work alongside the Donor Events Manager and Donor Events Coordinator to help plan, design, and execute the Art Museums fall donor programs and fundraisers.
The Philanthropy Intern will assist with the monthly affiliate group programs, Members openings, Founders openings, and our Annual Gala.
INTERNSHIP ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESReporting directly to the Donor Events Manager, duties include, but are not limited to:
Help the Donor Events Coordinator help the individual monthly program with the Museum Affiliate Groups.
Assist in planning and detailing the Members and Founders openings.
Prepare supplies and detail the fall Annual Gala and spring Art in Bloom fundraiser.
Work cross-functionally with museum departments.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS Upper-level undergraduate or graduate student with a degree in art administration, communication, hospitality, or related field.
Ability to work with diverse groups of volunteers and donors.
Attention to detail and time management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Pinterest.
An interest in arts or non-profit management/fundraising is preferred.
Some week day evenings required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
